About Us
Macheke Sub-Catchment Council is a statutory water management body mandated to manage both surface and groundwater resources, including rivers, dams, wells and boreholes within the Macheke Sub-Catchment. It was established under the Water Act of 1998 (Chapter 20:24) to promote stakeholder-driven water resources management.
As the local water planning and management unit within the wider Save Catchment, MSCC promotes sustainable allocation, water use monitoring, catchment protection and conflict resolution for communities, farmers, industries, miners and other water users.
